Through a clear and organized process, we manage the details that bring the design to life—from drawings, specifications, and procurement to scheduling, installation, and final styling. Working closely with our clients and their architect, builder, and trades, we oversee the implementation of the design from start to finish, creating a cohesive and thoughtfully considered home that feels uniquely tailored to the people who live there.
Phase One
Design Development
We begin by getting to know you, your home, and the way you want to live within it. Through conversations, questionnaires, inspiration imagery, site documentation, and an understanding of your priorities and investment, we establish a clear direction for the project. From there, we explore space planning and develop a cohesive design vision through mood boards, plans and elevations, 3D studies, and thoughtfully selected material samples. Each layer is considered together, allowing the character of the home and the overall design to take shape.
Phase Two
Drawings & Specifications
Once the design direction is established, we translate the vision into the detailed drawings and specifications needed to bring it to life. Plans, elevations, and 3D visuals communicate the design, while detailed schedules document selections for lighting, plumbing, hardware, tile, finishes, and other architectural elements. These documents become an important resource for your architect, builder, and trades. We collaborate closely with the project team, reviewing details both in meetings and on site to ensure the design intent is clearly understood before construction begins.
Phase Three
Procurement & Purchasing
With the design established, we manage the purchasing and coordination of furnishings, lighting, window treatments, wallcoverings, artwork, and accessories selected for your home. Each piece is considered as part of the larger design, creating a collected and cohesive interior. From proposals and approvals through ordering, tracking, receiving, and storage, we oversee the many details behind the scenes. Items are delivered to our professional receiver, where they are inspected and safely stored until the home is ready for installation.
Phase Four
Contractor Coordination
Throughout construction, we work closely with your contractor, architect, and trades to ensure the design is carried through as intended. Regular site visits allow us to review progress, confirm details, answer design-related questions, and address decisions as the project takes shape. We also coordinate the specialized trades associated with our work, including window treatment fabricators, wallpaper installers, painters, upholsterers, and other craftspeople. Staying closely involved throughout construction helps maintain continuity between the original design vision and its execution in the finished home.
Phase Five
Installation
Installation is when the many layers of the project finally come together. Once construction is complete and the home is prepared, we oversee the installation of furnishings, window treatments, artwork, accessories, and the final details that give each space warmth and character. We thoughtfully style and refine the home as a whole, then walk through the completed spaces with you for the final reveal. We may also arrange professional photography to document the finished project and celebrate the transformation from initial concept to a home that feels entirely your own.
